THE VIDEO WALL in modern-physics-journey.com

Throughout the book series A Journey into Modern Physics, internet videos were suggested to allow a user to explore the topics presented in the text, in more detail. Some videos provide alternative descriptions to ones used in the books to assist understanding of concepts presented. Some videos provide enhanced descriptions of subject matter, produced by renowned authorities, such as NASA, Fermi Lab, CERN and universities around the world, as well as leading experts in their fields.

All the videos listed in the series are now available to view from this web site. Go to the web site, select Video wall and scan the titles. See one you like, just click the title to view. Videos range in length from 1 minute to typically 10 or 15 minutes. A few videos are considerably longer and are often recorded lectures or even a series of lectures.

What's the reason for all this?

We are publishing articles on physics topics on this blog and providing direct access to videos recommended in the books, to allow readers who have completed the three parts of the journey, to continue their Journey into Modern Physics.

Even if you haven't read the books, you will still find the articles and videos interesting and they might even convince you to buy the books!

What is a Journey into Modern Physics?

Just in case you don't know, this is a book series in three parts and sold as E-book down-loads from the Amazon Kindle stores, or the Rakuten Kobo stores! Paperback copies are also available from Amazon.

There are two options;

The main series - available as three E-book down-loads or three paperbacks.

Suitable for anyone with an enquiring mind and a thirst for knowledge. Maths is kept to an absolute minimum. This is not a text book, but an exciting journey through the theories and concepts that currently define how the universe works, from atoms to black holes, from quarks to the the multiverse.

The LIGHT series - available as three E-book down-loads only.

This is a lighter version of the main series - same subject matter, less detail and more emphasis on the WOW factor. More suitable to young minds contemplating careers in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics to help bridge the gap between school-room science and university thinking.

The 3 PARTS

PART 1: From atoms, quarks and electrons to the Higgs field.

PART 2: From the birth of the universe to its ultimate demise.

PART 3: A bit more physics (symmetry, magnetism, semiconductors and the accelerators of CERN) & Nobel prizes in physics from 1901 to 2024

Go to the website at www.modern-physics-journey.com where you can read all about the two series and head for the main menu, or continue scanning this blog.
